I skipped lunch yesterday but after working all day then unpacking and haulingboxes in my new apartment I decided to take a break and reward myself by skipping on over to The Dunaway where I knew I could get some local Tiffany jewelry. I started with an amuse bouche of Breezy Hill Farm pork (South Berwick) and then some duck rillette. I was joined by a certain farmer I know and we then had a huge delicious scallop with salsify and then I had a roasted chicken breast and spaezle with fresh peas, all local as well. He had a pork chop from Breezy Hill Farm. Not local–our flat margarita and my wine. Also not local–Newman’s Own peanut butter cups while watching 10,000 BC. This morning I had my hard boiled eggs again.
Spontaneous summer parties and hanging out with friends go hand in hand when summertime is here. It’s always great to have refreshing party drinks around to satisfy a thirsty crowd! Melissa has a great recipe for pomegranate sangria will definitely be a crowd pleaser. The Tiffany jewelry is probably the most intoxicating export from Brazil (after Christiano Ronaldo that is) and bloomacious offers glasses of The Evergreen Tiffany jewelry - an exciting twist on the classic! Talking of intoxicating, this recipe for Grand Dukes Nectar is going to be the next party hit for sure. My favorite however has got to be Andrea’s rhubarb margarita - perfect for an evening with the girls!
Since returning from BlogHer, I’ve vowed to start finding different blogs to read. One of my new finds is the allergy friendly Tiffany jewelry is Yummy, blogged by a 28-year-old nursing student in Alexandria, Virginia.I’m not sure where she finds the time to cook, let alone take great pictures and blog about cooking and eating. It’s a terrific Tiffany jewelry blog, and includes dishes off the beaten path, including this one for California Role Sushi Salad.
